Very well said. I can relate to it, when recently chaos has interrupted my routine work and disrupted my one of the important goal of my life. That’s when practice of being resilient helped me. I liked the idea of ever flowing stream of work will make you engaged even in shorter free time frame.
I am huge fan of Charlie Munger, and I am glad to find an article that doesn’t shove a morning or evening routine into me like most articles out there. Routines are great as they save precious and limited mental capacity but if we stress over them, we are beating the entire purpose.
I have tried to build morning routines too, but some days, I wake up with no energy in my body.
On a self-development and career-advice note, I very much like Anna Wintour's quote regarding Finding your voice and succeeding:
‘You are driving by your heart, your talent and instinct. If you start to question and look at what people are doing at the left, or the right. You will lose this clarity of thoughts.’ — Anna Wintour
Neat insights Darius + also contained in your two case studies is the probable reason why many of the children while inheriting wealth from such rich parents will themselves (with inevitable exceptions) not add to it?
My answer from spending many years advising entrepreneurs and planning for their families is they never seem…
