Scientists warn that particles resulting from the breakdown of synthetic materials are already practically everywhere on Earth. This applies to soil and melting glaciers, as well as drinking water and food.

What are the dangers of nanoplastics?

According to the latest research published in the ‘Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences,’ even bottled water may contain tens of thousands of identifiable nanoplastics. These particles are even smaller than microplastics. Scientists have determined for the first time that there are about 240,000 of them in a liter.
