The first weird gadget of CES 2023 is Lenovo’s Swiss Army lamp🛋️
Lenovo is setting the trend with its Go Desk Station with Webcam, which is often found at CES 2023. With its integrated camera, adjustable desk light, Qi wireless charger, and extension hub, it’s made for those of us with little desk spaces. While making no concessions to any of those points, the pricing reflects this.
The Lenovo Go 4K Pro Webcam, which can also be purchased as a separate camera and is intended for high-resolution streaming and video conferencing, is the main feature. It has autofocus and auto-framing with an adjustable field of vision, as well as auto ambient light adjustment through the built-in desk light, and it can stream 4K at up to 30 frames per second.
This desk lamp is mounted on a height-adjustable, rotatable arm that allows it to be pointed in virtually any direction to light up your face or the items on your desk. With a brightness of up to 1600 lux at 0.5 metres, you have a choice of three colour temperatures to complement your surroundings: 3,000K (yellow white), 4,500K (cool white), and 6,500K (daylight) (1.5 feet).
It is also a flexible hub. To begin with, it offers a full-featured 65-watt USB-C connection for laptop power and a 135-watt USB-C power input. A 15-watt Qi-compliant charging pad, a 20-watt USB Type-C connector, two USB Type-A 3.1 ports, and an HDMI 2.0 output for external screens up to 4K at 60 frames per second are all included.
If you’re already looking for a desk lamp, wireless charger and USB hub, this could fit the bill in just a single purchase. You’ll pay for it though. The Go Desk Station with Webcam arrives in March 2023 starting at $329, or you can grab the Lenovo Go 4K Pro webcam by itself for $150, also in March next year.
