Great read Luis. I agree with you on most points, with the exception of your generalization of Trumpists. Seems like Trump’s tactics and tough talk resonate with voters tired of seeing Republicans afraid to take the gloves off. He’s rude and crude and certainly doesn’t conduct himself like a politician…because he’s not one. He wasn’t in my top 5 or even 10 in the primaries, but I am ready to vote for him to see things change.

I would also add the Paul Ryan interns pic is a little misleading. He took the pic at a lecture series attended by interns from ANY party, not just Republicans. Looks like minority interns weren’t interested in attending, or being in the picture. And as to the Democratic intern photo taken after, presumably to demonstrate a contrast, THIS, to me is where the problem lies. Shelia Lee circulates a photo to show a more diverse group of interns, but draws the contrast based on a false premise. The result? Stirring up more unnecessary racial animus.
