As part of AI4COVID-19 initiative, which is a research and development effort by minoHealth AI Labs, Runmila AI Institute and partners, to use Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in combating COVID-19 in Ghana and Africa. We are developing a series of interactive graphs to help in mapping out the pandemic. We would update these graphs daily according to recorded changes.

The tree map below shows the ratio of Active cases to recoveries and deaths.

After first 100 Cases: A Comparison

The graph below allows us to compare various African countries as well as some of the top 6 countries currently with the most confirmed cases globally (USA, Spain, Italy, France, UK), and some countries praised for their performances in fighting the pandemic (China, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea). By using a log-scale, we are able to adjust the curve of various countries, appreciate their growth rates, and tell which countries are flattening their curves.

Confirmed Cases By Country

The interactive bar chart below shows the increase of confirmed cases across Africa, sorted by the countries with the highest cases for each day since the first confirmed case in Egypt, on the 13th of February 2020.
