Today was a hard day…

Today was a hard day…sirens rang out, tears fell from every face, final calls were sounded, bagpipes played and in the midst of it all we were challenged to reckon what we saw with our eyes but could not beleive with our hearts, we were called to find joy in the overwhelming sense of loss, we were provided answers that were supposed to allay all of our questions, but the tears still fell and the loss covered us and there were no answers that put any questions to rest.
So we take what we have, whatever we can grasp and hold on with all our might so that we can last until the tears stop falling and peace comes to our souls. 
Today was a good day…the symphony of heaven played welcome home, the choir of angels sang the praises of our Father, gates of pearl swung open wide, and Jesus waited for His child to return to His waiting arms. We found rest in our rememberance, we found joy in each others laugther, comfort in hoding hands and giving hugs, and we found hope in each others eyes.
