I don’t disagree with the overall point you are making in this article, but this example is poorly chosen. The Apple II computer released in 1977 was a blockbuster machine that sold so well that Apple made it in one form or another until 1993. Saying that Jobs and Wozniak didn’t make a splash until the release of the Macintosh is ignoring a huge bit of history.
