Creator vs Consumer

Every minute of every day we are either creating or consuming. Those that create more, create consistently, create for themselves, and always seek to improve upon their creations, tend to be the ones we deem “successful.”

A life spent creating is not a life wasted.

Creating is hard.

Consuming is easy.

These days I consumer too much. TV, movies, video games, books, YouTube, just about anything to avoid creating. Consuming has become my modus operandi and I am not happy about that.

There was a time my M.O. tilted more in the direction of being a creator. This is my effort at getting back to that.

Momentum Matters

With this effort I am taking the advice I’ve given to many artists over the years —

“When you’re stuck, just move, even a little, in any direction. Move. Because momentum matters.”
