Dis magazine; 1 waking hour production
(and optimization); freedom to produce; Steyrl ir Beresneviciaus derinys; freedom as in jamming, freedom from western ideology — do not delve into Dis or believe it. At most — channel whatever of that unconsciously; Mockus and Ernesto were both amazing movies, and so is me in the hotel making the movies.
Reading econ or politics books is same as reading curatorial texts. They sell product.
Rady said China is like a salty liquid. It makes all cucumbers salty. Like America, only better thought out and better.
text and linear narrative are vile. for innovation.
Cosminas is doing a curator’s job. If I wanted to I could. It is working for an organization or arranging an existing community into an organization.
art curation and making is good. in curating I can still act. and yes, it is a good platform for more speculative, unthought-thru pronouncements.
Hito Steyrl’s focus on particular parts of artworks or technology in society is disabling and un-innovative. Her uncovering that or something but not playing with it ironically like Fluxus would makes her practice useless. The perspective she is constantly speaking from is wrong, I disagree with it. And she doesn’t switch roles — she’s always the same.
There are existing actors playing in what she is saying — Hezbollah, etc. There is nothing she invented, and she is commenting as set in stone something that is always changing and that is controlled by power, power that does not go into disorienting and immobilizing details that Steyrl goes into.
And she’s from academia. Overlall, what Dis does can be done much better.
Meanwhile, Beresnevicius is clear-eyed and completely free. The 100 is also clear eyed and free. It does not make illusions. Art is a subjective illusion, a game played for the sake of it behind that shield.
So, it is possible to either 1) Analyze the west 2) Escape the west 3) Langusih in the Nowhere 4) Join the east 5) Help verbalize the east 6) Do not limit oneself with anything, embracing unanswerable questions but still raising them in art. My questions, whatever they may be, are as good and better as McKenzie’s questions.
Art production ‘parasite’ would be an interesting strategy of production/being an artist.
Tokie tad komplikuoti tie vakarai. Taivane, tuo tarpu, jie tik nori kuo lengviau, paprasčiau suprasti ir kuo aiškiau, tobuliau veikti. Jie net nebando analizuoti valdžios ar likimo, nes žino, kad ne jiems jį analizuoti, o be to, niekas nėra išradę būdų tikrai analizuoti. Visa vakarų filosofija — tik pliurpimas iš tiesų bejėgiškame pasimetime individualume/izme.
Fluxus applies to both west and east, and even to Lithuania. Artists just have to play at the very most, with whatever they want, however they want. There is no right thing to produce at the right time — say when you say it, do when you do it. There is no right time for anything. In the west or in the east just do your thing.
Meanwhile, Dis is not that important. It is speaking from within of the west to within of the west. It drowns further into the west instead of looking elsewhere, for example the east. In that way even Jonas Staal with his impotent New World Summit is being less closed-up, less insular and more open.
Startegies that work for Trecartin do not necessarily work for Krit. Or rather, they work. Same would work if the images were Lithuanian. And reminds me of doing whatever in front of the camera before I was 25, and playing that music too.
Krit is also elevating Thailand where Lithuania still has not been elevated.

Even my alternative Mockus ideas were all right.
And no, in art there is no public purpose. So no limit. And no need for confirmation.
