There’s not a lot that makes me angry.
Oliver “Shiny” Blakemore

Maybe it’s because we Europeans love our cars so much or rather because driving a German car (as the majority seems to) is seen as a statement by itself — yeah, that’s it probably when I think about it — we don’t see many bumper stickers here. And certainly none expressing a political view.

You made me think though. Like you I’m also not an angry person. But indeed, there’s something that makes me angry every time, too.

It’s when someone says “Ah get over it, will ya?”

It’s the ultimate insult. It’s telling me I can’t be bothered with your opinion, your arguments. I don’t have the time. You’re not important to me, or not that important. Also, shut up.

It kills every discussion, every civilized argument. There’s actually no way to recover from it. It puts you in the defensive and keeps you there.

With this one sentence you’re labeled a complainer, a crybaby, a sucker getting on the nerves of the Cool, Calm, And Collected who have already been in the know long before you even started thinking about something.

If I can’t find a way to deal with it, this will go down as one of the failures of my life I’m afraid.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
