Visualisations that made their mark on me in 2023

In this article I have compiled a collection of visualisations crafted by different experts that have inspired, astonished, or left a profound impression on me. I trust you will feel the same :)

The first thing that caught my eye this year was this interesting piece from the Genuine Impact team (posted on Reddit).
Although the Oscar statue takes a bit too much of the focus, I really love the lead/supporting Pie as a background, I guess I must be missing out having never seen a Katherine Hepburn movie.

The first ‘Data Journalism’ piece I found this year was published by Reuters in December 2022, not only is the article very interesting (and a little depressing) but the visualisations are fantastic, below is a snippet of one of my favourites.
