When I started with web development I thought to myself “why do I have to write front-end code and then backend code and then connect the two?” This was before ajax. I kept asking questions like this until I ended up writing (what we now know as) a Business Process Language that compiles to a Byte code back end and a web front end with a web service in between. So there, I fixed MVCs layers of madness. It took me 10 years. If someone just put some thought into it they would have saved me a decade.
