Hey, wakey-wakey! A beautiful day is ready to greet you with open arms. Rise and shine! Take your meds. The current outside temperature is 25 degrees Celsius with a high chance of rain. Don’t let the rain catch you off guard. Grab your umbrella.
Even if you’re far away from your mother, what if someone is there to take care of you, just like your mother does?
Wouldn’t that be immensely reassuring?
You placed an order last week and now your refrigerator is empty. However, your buddy, who knows your needs, has already placed an order for you.
How do you feel now? Relaxed?
Now as you prepare to embrace the day at the office, you find yourself reluctant to drive. Your desire to finish the story you started yesterday takes precedence. Astonishingly, someone else but other than a human being is behind the steering of your car.
How fascinating is that?
Upon arriving at the office, the gate recognizes your presence and automatically opens to welcome you without you having to show any identification.
Doesn’t that fill you with a sense of pride and accomplishment?
After the tiring day, you wish to rejuvenate by immersing yourself in the sheer pleasure of watching a movie. However, you find yourself uncertain about which movie to choose. Fortunately, your buddy (not a human) has an uncanny understanding of your subconscious desires and suggests one your soul wished for.
Wow!!! How do you know me better than I know myself?
How do the above situations sound? Do they sound like a mere flight of fancy or a far-fetched dream?
No, These situations may sound like they exist only in the realm of dreams, but that’s not entirely true. Some of these dreamlike scenarios have already become reality, while others are poised to become reality shortly.
The fruits of these scenarios came from the field of Artificial Intelligence(AI). AI serves as a broad umbrella term that encompasses various disciplines such as Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Natural Language Processing (NLP) and more.
Artificial Intelligence — AI is like creating computer systems that can think and learn on their own, just like humans do. They can solve problems, make decisions, and do tasks without needing constant instructions.
What are the applications of AI??
- Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana, and Amazon’s Alexa are chatbots that serve as virtual assistants capable of answering a wide range of questions and giving us solutions to our daily problems.
- Google Maps is a navigation application that enhances the convenience of your journeys by offering directions and real-time updates on traffic conditions.
- Health Care (medical image analysis, disease prediction, drug discovery), Finance (Fraud detection, Stock prediction), Agriculture (crop monitoring) Robotics, gaming, creativity- AI continues to advance and find applications in numerous other fields, driving innovation and enhancing productivity.
- In one word, applications are uncountable.
I am enamored with the applications of AI and can envision a novel illustrating its impact on life. I felt immense joy while writing this article, especially when I realized that I used AI tools in various forms, such as learning about the topic, creating artificial images, and refining my grammar and vocabulary to enhance my writing, it’s truly a wonderful experience.
