· The user finds it not possible to add, delete, save, or copy anything in the card

Whenever any of these messages or scenarios starts to happen, there is totally no assurance that your card will be returned to its actual working stage. However, there are certain ways that you can try to ensure positive results. SD card repair work is possible, but cannot be guaranteed.

You can connect the SD card to another device. There can be times when some of the devices may or may not be able to read an SD card. There can well be incompatibility issues. In such scenarios, you can well try new devices to connect the card and check the performance.

Trying the CHKDSK command

The CHKDSK command is often regarded as a highly valuable and effective way to undergo damaged SD card recovery or even bringing back a drive to its actual working state. Simply type “chkdsk” followed by drive letter, colon and /f at the command prompt. Now, insert the affected card into the card reader and then get it to connect to the system. Click on the “Start” option from the Windows taskbar and then select “Computer” option. Search for the SD card under the “Devices with Removable Storage”. Note clearly the drive letter is assigned.
