A.S.K. Me For Anything.

You do not have because you do not ask. — James 4:2

The Lord invited Solomon to ask for anything, and I love Solomon’s response. He said, “You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place.” He’s saying, You’ve already given me so much…so, give me wisdom and understanding so I am a great steward of it.

I think we could all stand to be better answerers to this question, because I believe it’s God’s desire to give us what we ask for, or something better.

Here are 3 ways we can ask for better:

  1. Check the ARCHIVE. — What have you been given? Take inventory.
  2. Thank the SOURCE — James says that “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows.”
  3. KNOW your needs — You can ask for anything, but what is THE thing you need the most.

Final Thoughts: Like Solomon, the thing we probably need the most is Wisdom and Understanding. What’s awesome to see is how God blessed him because he asked for that instead of riches. Take note!
