I didn’t learn to drive unti I was 23.
Sacrificed that life milestone to get into Medical School.
I was obese throughout med school because I was focused on becoming a good doctor. Its only in my final year once I’ve completed the final exams that I slimmed down and learned to drive.
The reality is that you are not superhuman. You don’t have an infinite amount of effort to spend.
At some point you must draw a line between what’s important to you and what isnt. Even though everybody around you chooses otherwise.
I believe that’s the true challenge in life. To go against the grain and suffer, knowing you will achieve greater things. Nobody ever did anything outstanding by following everybody else. Because you are willing to sacrifice more, that’s what makes you great.
