An enlightening article, providing a somewhat better defense than the official response which was contradictory and unsatisfactory.

Contradictory because the superintendent states it was a mistake implying the teacher did not notice the boy, then he states she was concerned as to what he might say. It cannot be both.

Unsatisfactory because he also declared that he knows every single teacher, principal, staff etc care %100 for the children. How can he declare this as an empirical fact. That’s like the Police Chief saying he knows every single cop is not a racist.

Lastly the school does not advertise that have children who are under protective orders, perhaps in your haste to defend a terrible lack of judgement on the teacher’s part, you should not have done so either.
