On Christmas Decorations

I may be in the minority, but I’m pretty non-plussed about how long Christmas decorations are up for — in fact, when you live in London and the sun is setting at 4:30pm in November, a walk down Regent Street or Bond st with the Christmas lights in all their glory is actually a pretty nice change from sheet metal grey skies.
Come January, when it’s still miserable, the lack of festivity tends to compound the already bad weather. I would welcome another excuse to generally have a sense of festivity in the city in January and February.
