Great to hear! Wanted to share this response to the original post to highlight some thoughts on the matter.
One more thing to consider is doing more actual training of folks in house. Until the definition of “qualified” is broadened to include talented people with many backgrounds that are able and willing to learn on the job, historical biases of other parts of our country — like the education system and other companies — will make this issue tough.
Companies benefit from training talent in house anyway as you know.
