One Of The Few Things I Complain About: Complaining
Gary Vaynerchuk

If by complaining you are referring to the kind of excuse making you highlight in your first paragraph, then I’m right there with you. However, not all complaining is created equal. There is a kind of “productive complaining” (uncovering systemic breakdowns) that can and does change the world. Sometimes productive complaining looks and feels like “grind the joy out of life” complaining. But it’s not. One tell tale difference between productive and unproductive complaining is what happens after the complaint comes to light. Productive complaining initiates adaptive change. Unproductive complaining perpetuates sarcasm, bitterness and a lack of progress.
