School Isn’t Uber And Never Should Be

We have charter schools — some good some bad; we have public schools, same characteristics, and same with parents who have kids in schools — some interested, some not or with more demanding priorities.

What we need is better. Weaken the union hold on tenure. Cut administration. Let City counsels ratify Ed Board placements. Stop the ridiculous testing and measure the success of teachers and schools with unscheduled audits. No doubt there is more.

Ed delivery improvement is paramount to solving this problem. Charter, like home schooling, can live with public, they already do, and we like competition — quality up, price comes down.
