FAITH IS DEMANDING!

Faith is "demanding" as it is not reactionary nor is it concerned by how you 'feel' but by the actions you take.

Many times, we have friends who share challenges with us and deep down within us, we know pity won't work in these situations.

Some time ago, I met an old friend at an event. It was beautiful to meet her again, we did some catching up and we tried to know what was going on in each other's lives.
I told her of a decision I had just made and she told me how she is in the same position needing a new/better job but she's heard God severally asked her to leave the current job.
In a nutshell, she is yet to leave because of the financial burden she may have to bear at the stage of being jobless.

Believers should never deal with doubts and fears because they are the devil’s narcotics. — Kenneth E. Hagin

I like to use Abraham as a case study on this. There's no human logic to explain how you want a 75-year-old man to leave his country to start afresh. Destinies get delayed when we delay but look at him when it was time to sacrifice Isaac - tbvh, ko funny - kill your only son 'recognised' by God?
You see God is not wicked and we will always find this pattern of God in the life of every believer who is about to enter into the next phase. Different situations and stories, same pattern.

What if the term "pleasing God" may be to avoid his jealous side? This jealous side is the side of God against anything we place above him, it is whatever we cherish(idolize) over His WILL and this WILL is for our benefit and not for His presumed "EGO". By this, we can't get that which he already provided just because of that which we cling unto.

John 12:24 AMPC
[24] I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.

Hebrews 11:24-27 KJV
[24] By faith Moses, when he came to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; [25] choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; [26] esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward. [27] By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

One of our tests for faith will come in the area of humility/rest before God! We can't rival the position of God to have things done.

Mark 9:35 KJV
[35] And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

We may say, "Faith is stressful then, let us hold on to the basic stuff" Hollup! We just called it basic 🤭 It’ll work in the meantime before life catches up with us on that position and steal our ability to make good decisions.
|This is a topic for another day|

  • The following are areas where we rival positions with God:
    1. Logic and intellect
    2. Family/Relationships
    3. Finances
    4. Time

Sometimes, we calculate and rely too much on our strength, way too much to seek after God’s heart. To explain why David was called a Man after God’s heart, read 1st Samuel 30, David had a track record of winning battles, he could have made his decisions without asking God but he needed to know God’s heart here meaning he was ready to lose everything. I needed to explain the term MAN AFTER GOD’S HEART here because I’ve always thought it meant that he was God’s favourite person.😂

If you need me to shed more light on the four areas I listed, let me know in the comments. 🫶

In one of Joyce Meyer’s teachings, she said "If you do what’s right no matter how you feel, it breaks the stronghold of the enemy". Just emotions will not cut it --- That which we need to get will never come until we let the WILL of God be established --- Remember we said earlier that one thing God will never do for us is for Him to go back on His word for anything. These things are not the easiest things to do, Nahhh! They’re not and that’s why we need the help of the holy spirit to help our infirmities[our weaknesses], right? I mean, who will have kids and choose to go jobless?

Note: It takes time to walk on the bridge so the transition may not be instant. Not turning back on that bridge is what matters.

For us to embrace the totality of faith, we must allow the wisdom of letting go to make room for new beginnings. We must begin to apply the principle of decluttering to other aspects of our lives, not just our physical possessions but also our self-limiting beliefs and negative emotions. By embracing the power of creating space for new possibilities, we create room for growth and the unforeseen blessings that await us.
These are laid down principles that we need to build our lives around and abiding by them yields beautiful results.

You read to the very end! You're the real MVP and I truly appreciate you!
Thank you so much for taking the time. I truly hope this blesses and inspires you to step into the beautiful world of faith.
