Hi Michal, there really is nothing wrong with self-financing. I have 3 self-financed businesses of my own and it’s great. However, I also believe this isn’t anything inherently wrong with other approaches, such as raising money. The beauty is that you get to choose what’s right for you.
That’s a bit of a stretch.
I’ve actually seen the opposite correlation —the CEOs that hire for their weaknesses, and focus on their strengths do very well.
We all have gaps and I’ve witnessed some absolutely awesome CEOs benefit from a CoS even with only 15 – 20 employees.
There’s something about spending 2–3 days with new people, far from the day-to-day, that fosters deep connection and reflection – a wonderful antidote to the uncertain and challenging world of entrepreneurship. Great work, Keji and the Connect Team.
