Matt, everything you say here is true and it is remarkable, and even better is a template for other sites with credibility with readers to follow, like the NYT. Perfect.

It’s all about tradeoffs.

I think the WP plugin just uses the API.

Maybe they are punting on it though, I have no insight into that.
