I find that interesting. You’re arguing for that unsightly flash?
If you’re at that point in the decision flow, you have a font that does nothing for your brand and does nothing for your users. So unless I’m mistaken, its sole job is to look nice.
But you can’t load it without the whole screen flashing from a system font to your font. That, to me, does not look nice.
So I stand by my advice, if you can’t manage to get your font on the screen without an ugly flash (which for the record is not very hard), then stick with system fonts.
And of course it’s reductive, it’s a step in a decision tree.
