“The Sprint Backlog was seen as commitment, signed with blood.”
Dear god, when will people stop using the word commitment in Scrum when everything is based on empiricism? I cannot count all of the dumb looks I get when I ask how we can call a sprint a commitment if we haven’t executed it yet. Ditto when I ask a business partner if they would like us to deliver a prescribed number of tasks, or actual value.
Search -> Replace All -> “commitment” = “forecast”.
