We evolved to pay more attention to the bad things in life than the good things.
Let’s prove it with a simple experiment.
Look at moments in your life that you feel ashamed of your behavior or reaction to something.
Now search for moments that you didn’t behave in that same manner. Moments that you actually did the opposite of what you feel guilt for.
If your honest with yourself you will see you do more good than bad.
Now start paying attention to the other side of your story. The “good” parts.
