The best a fan can get

Tickets for Endgame are now on sale and with it a special look…

As you read this, people are fighting tooth and nail to buy tickets. We might need another snap to ensure everybody gets a seat!

The trailers so far have been a little light on details. The Russos (directors) are keeping things very close to the chest…

“You should've gone for the head.” — Thanos

I’m glad that there’s still a lot of mystery left behind. Only the Avengers who were left behind are featured in the trailers, yet you know the rest will be coming back by the end of the film… right?

Sure, but this is about the journey, not the Endgame.

So what can we glean from the snippets of footage we’ve been given? Not a lot, but that hasn’t stopped me in the past. I can’t help myself, I need to know.

If you want to go into Endgame entirely clean, like Cap’s new look…

I suggest you don’t read the following. Potential SPOILERS below:

1. The Avengers Will Lose

We know from the end of Captain Marvel that Carol Danvers will eventually check her texts and come back to meet what’s left of the Avengers, prompting her to ask…

“Where’s Fury?” — Captain Marvel

He’s snapped, along with half the galaxy! Based on other footage that was shown to Disney shareholders or something, Danvers will convince the remaining crew to take the fight directly to Thanos. They’ll jump on a spaceship and this time they’ll go for the head…

But where’s Banner? Where’s Ant-Man and the shiny white suits? Based on Black Widow’s hair, this scene takes place soon after Infinity War, probably in the first 20 minutes of the film.

This suggests that this flight is doomed. That the mission to take out Thanos doesn’t work out the first time around and the Avengers will take another “L.”

It’s possible the Avengers will keep trying multiple times to defeat Thanos and keep losing until the final rally when they put on their shiny, white suits…

It could resemble Happy Death Day 2U… only crowd-pleasing.

2. There’ll Be a Time Jump

Perhaps in more ways than one…

All the footage we’ve received so far has been scrambled from different timelines. We can try to track the timeline of the movie based on Natasha’s hair.

When it’s short, it’s early on…

As her hair grows back, it’s later in the film…

Based on that. We can see that there’ll be a significant time jump between their first attempt to take down Thanos and the next.

Natasha will track down Hawkeye, who’s taken on the Ronin persona after (most likely) witnessing his whole family turn to dust. Take note of the ankle bracelet from Civil War still attached to his leg…

The scene where he loses his loved ones may be told via flashback or be the opener for the film! Imagine that. No wonder he’s so traumatised…

There are also behind-the-scenes shots of the Avengers revisiting the Battle of New York from the first Avengers film. Either through jumping back in time or using Stark’s B.A.R.F. technology. How similar does this scene look…

With what we got in the behind-the-scenes leaks?

Could Cap and Tony be making up for lost time by going back in time?

3. Rocket and Nebula Mourn Their Friends

One thing that we’ve got to remember is that the Avengers were split throughout Infinity War. One group was off fighting Thanos in Titan and the rest were stationed in Wakanda.

So when the snap happens, each group is unaware of what happened to the others. When Nebula reunites with Rocket, both will realise they’re the only Guardians left. Talk about a bummer…

This film is looking more and more depressing by the minute. We also get this touching reunion that spoils Tony’s return to Earth, but that was a no-brainer anyway…

Imagine how upset she’ll be when she finds out he’s going back to fight Thanos again!

4. Everyone Is Getting New Suits

The film will not only feature the Avengers cast in matching white suits. They’ll also be sporting updates to their old costumes. Check out the gold arms on Tony…

And what about the new scale armour on Cap?

Some of the changes are subtle, but why waste another opportunity to sell more toys? Even Thanos is getting a new sword!

Still on the suits. I’m getting more and more certain that these white suits are for the purposes of time travel. Most likely using Quantum energy.

If the Avengers needed space suits, they would’ve donned them for the first mission, right?

And finally…

5. Thanos Will Bring the Fight to Earth

Based on the debris in this action scene…

It would appear as though this fight takes place on Earth and not the lush green planet Thanos has been playing farmer on…

Here’s another scene from what appears to be the same action set piece…

Not really the stuff you’ll find in a far away galaxy.

This could even be what’s left of the Avengers facility after Thanos beams himself down to boast about his victory.

Why does he have to be such a sore winner?
