Great point, Jesse! This is probably a biased perspective, but I feel like the popularity and rise of the Design thinking process and UX as a profession has gained a great deal of traction as of late simply because people are being forced to interact with digital interfaces regularly. In reality industrial designers have been around applying these principles for quite some time… My intention was to help bring the spotlight back to this fact for the many who, when they hear UX, consider only the digital interface.
