I am an independent international autism speaker, trainer, published writer and advocate, TRIAD 5 autism needs assessor, and contributor to a number of journals and publications including “Social Care Today,” “Autism Eye” and “Spectrum News.” I am a married autistic, parent and carer to 2 adult children, both of whom are autistic with co-morbid conditions, and I have 16 years’ professional experience in health and social care.

As an autistic individual, parent, carer and professional, I have a unique insight into the needs of autistic individuals from “the inside out.” I have a mission to improve the lives of autistics and their families through promoting acceptance and advocacy and being the voice of those who continue to face social inequality and injustice due to autism.

I present talks and provide bespoke training, listening and support services to parents, carers, community groups, health, education and social care providers. I co-deliver both the National Autism Trainer Programme (with the Anna Freud Centre and AT-Autism) and the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training in Learning Disabilities and Autism. I am also on the Advisory Panel for Autism Research at Birkbeck University London.

I have a PG Cert in Autism (Adults) with the University of Birmingham with Grade Distinction. My other qualifications include: Advanced Diploma in Autism, SPELL 1,2 & 3, NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care (with Distinction), TRIAD 5Autism Needs Assessor, Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Public Speaking Diploma, Counselling Skills Diploma, Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness, Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental First Aid & Mental Advocacy in the Workplace.
