It’s Easier To Type Than Speaking
Poem By David N. Donihue
It’s easier to type than speaking
Double-check
the response is tame
From the loving heart
And not the angry brain
The brain can be deceiving
amongst all things
Feeds you memories
that pump fear into the heart
Whose position determines
where the brain is heading
A cycle gone vicious
Or a cycle gone loving
Remove the impulse informed
by incomplete thinking
It’s just plain easier
to type than speaking
I can say this of the male species
When it is early and she is rather pretty
Yet, it just occurred to me
She probably requires speaking
