Robots must learn the essential truths of love
Bobbie Wood

To me, robots are mainly machines designed to perform a specific task – not intended to be generic entities and widely self-adaptive as humans are. A robot is not necessarily human-like, although its designing may be bio-inspired. We do not ask autonomous vehicles to love us in order to avoid accidents but to perform well... That’s my point: a robot is a machine that should perform well, do correctly what it is designed for – and this is not as easy as it sounds.
