Salesforce Professional Edition Admins:
It seems that most Professional Edition customers got their FREE UPGRADES last night which includes:
- Workflow Automation (including Process Builder!!)
- Standard Sales Console
- Custom Profiles & Page Layouts
- Record Types for Custom Processes
- Unlimited Apps & Tabs
For most of you, I am guessing that Process Builder will be a HUGE hit with your team, as you can automatically update records, create tasks, send alerts and post to Chatter based on your business needs.
Record Types, Profiles and Page Layouts will allow you to define who sees what type of functionality and data and what type of fields appear on the screen based on the user or the type of record you are looking at.
This is a big deal and using these features for your user groups does take some planning and thought.

It seems that most Enterprise Edition customers got their FREE UPGRADES last night which includes:
- Customizable Sales Console
- Partial Sandbox
- 25 Developer Sandboxes
- Mobile Two-Factor Identity
For most of you, I am guessing that the Customizable Sales Console will be a HUGE hit with your end users, as it can dramatically revolutionize the way they work with records and see multiple lists, records and other resources (macros, knowledge, etc.) throughout the work day.
This is a big deal and preparing your Sales Console(s) for your user groups does take some planning and thought.
I’ve done this before to roll out the Service Cloud Console for a large group of users, and while the end result is pretty slick, there is a sizable amount of prep work needed to ensure a successful rollout.
