Muslim Dating Apps Divorce.

The rivalry between Muzmatch and SingleMuslim.com has now become apparent for all to see. Shahzad Younas, CEO of Muzmatch (now called Muzz after they were sued by Match group for ‘copying’ Tinder) has gone full throttle in his pursuit to defame Single Muslim founder Adeem Younis.

Most Muslims stay away from watching TV during Ramadan and instead concentrate on their prayers as they observe the holy month of Ramadan. In this past week or so, many Muslims realised there’s more drama on twitter than on the telly. Who needs the Battle of the North in Game of Thrones when you have the battle of Muslim dating apps on twitter.

You may have seen recently, the series of tweets by Shahzad whose app ‘Muzz’ has been copied from haram one night stand app Tinder.

He speaks about Penny Appeal and its mismanagements of funds, especially regarding payments made to Founder and Trustee of the charity Adeem Younis. It does need to be noted that these so-called ‘financial leaks’ he has ‘discovered’ were already clearly declared on Penny Appeal’s public financial statements submitted to the Charity Commission.

After reading the tweets and looking at the language used, it became clear that this was something personal. It almost seemed like a scorned ex-wife trying to land a blow on the reputation of her ex-lover. The ironic thing is that both Adeem and Shahzad have claimed they both started their journey into Muslim dating apps to find a wife for themselves; now they both find themselves divorced and longing for each other’s attention instead. The allegations from Shahzad were met with a fiery response from Penny Appeal, it was quite a personal response which outed Shahzad and his apparent fake aliases on twitter. Penny Appeal also made a point of how Shahzad is currently fundraising with charity Muslim-Aid, another competitor in the charity sector. His tweets showed a lot of preparation, he would have prepared this attack for months, ready to release on the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan for maximum damage.

Penny appeal have come across looking ridiculous too, I’m genuinely baffled by their response, instead of fighting back with their legal council against Shahzad’s defamatory and libellous tweets, they went after the everyday man with their law suits. One of the interceptors of these legal threats was Sadiq Dorosat. He simply wrote a normal inquisitive tweet regarding penny appeal and their reputation. Penny appeal responded excessively by sending their legal representation to Sadiq’s work place to hand over their law suit. Highly ridiculous and inappropriate. This also plays nicely into Shahzad’s hands and adds more fuel to the fire he’s lit.

The question remained regarding Shahzad’s intention, so I thought it necessary to examine his characteristics and personality by looking through the recent court case where he lost to dating giant Tinder for copying their app. One of the things that jumped out at me was that after his embarrassing defeat, he was found in contempt of court for leaking an embargoed judgment to journalists, despite his legal team telling him that he wasn’t to. Why? Why would he do that? For me the answer is clear. All that matters to him is his self-promotion, he wants to come across as a noble hero of the Muslim community, who is a victim of bullying at the hands of a goliath company. When in fact, his whole professional career is covered in dirt and deceit, both as a banker and now as a so-called copycat entrepreneur.

There is also a tweet he is linked to, where he calls Penny Appeals female CEO ‘Hijabi Hitler’ That tweet could be construed as both antisemitic and misogynistic. The tweet came from a fake account which follows and is being followed by Shahzad Younas, quite a coincidence.

There are many more telling moments in the court judgement including a point where he admits to copying SingleMuslim.com! All that and more can be viewed on the following link http://www.casemine.com/judgement/uk/6272c754b50db991273809d7

My advice to them both, do not air your dirty laundry in a public space. Shahzad’s actions are quite despicable in terms of the timing of his tweets falling at the start of the last 10 days of Ramadan, a time when charities tend to make 30 percent of their annual income. He seemed to have hoped to hinder the donations coming into the charity founded by his rival. Shahzad who walks around like Andre the Giant whilst having the height and physique of a malnourished toddler, seems to be suffering from small dog complex. It irks me to know that this feud has brought so much negativity to the charity sector at a time when Muslims give generously to save the lives of so many around the world. So, to the ‘righteous ex banker’ if you want to have a war with your business rival, do so privately and without effecting those desperately in need all around the world. I’m not the only one who can see that this is just a personal beef.

And to Penny Appeal, instead of getting into stupid spats on Twitter, maybe concentrate on what you’re good at, helping those in need. Oh, and for heaven’s sake, please hire someone better to do your PR.
