Caitlin, I agree that this is a global-warming-size train coming at us, but I think there is a more practical solution: We guarantee everyone a job that pays a living wage. A Guaranteed Minimum Income Is The Wrong Answer To The Right Question. The Solution To The Shortage Of Living-Wage, Low-Skilled Jobs Is Publicly Funded, Non-Profit Corporations That Will Pay A Living Wage

How do we fairly tax people to fund these job-providing corps? Repeal and replace the income tax with a tax of about 1.9% — 2% of Net Wealth above $50K. That will bring in between $1.5 — $2 Trillion/year. Replacing The Income Tax With A Different Tax System That Is Fairer, Simpler & Less Painful
