Great column, Jim!
I would like to send this to some of my Republican friends, but they would only see it as an attack on their beliefs or an indication that I’m trying to start a fight.
To them, everything is an “us vs. them” “good vs. evil” battle with Republican principles on the side of good and…
I’ve organized my columns by topic and one of the topics is racism.
When I write a column about racism I define it as the belief that generally speaking, the average black person is inferior to the average white person in one or more ways — more violent, less intelligent, lazier, etc.
I understand the desire for a glorious defeat instead of a mundane victory, but 4 more years of Mr. Crazy Snake will be devastating just through right-wing judicial appointments. The notion that Middle America will vote for a socialist is delusional.
Hating Trump does not equal liking far, left wing policies.
If Bernie is the nominee, Trump will be re-elected.
Here is what the Vice President of the Confederacy, Alexander Stephens, said in his famous Cornerstone Speech was the reason for the creation of the Confederacy :
The Confederacy’s cornerstone “. . . rests upon the great truth, that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery — subordination [of blacks] to the…
Jim, this comment is a bit off topic, but when I read your column I thought, again, about what is the right name to apply to Mr. T.
I’ve long been frustrated over my inability to find the correct, accurate, fitting name for the bloated, orange-haired, bag of guts who lives in the White House, when he’s not in some…
Jim, you may be right about that. I hope you are. The country will be massively harmed by the judges Mr. Snake will appoint if he gets four more years. We just can’t take that chance.
As for the mouse thing, if that happens again, immediately type a control-z and all the erased material will return.

Jim, I look at his base this way:
The claim that it is almost impossible to own a gun is self-evidently ridiculous. There are guns everywhere. Anyone, including criminals, can get a gun at a gun show.
Your claims about the 2nd Amendment don’t match with the language or the Federalist Papers — see #29, On The Militia.
The Federalists’ purpose for writing the 2nd Amendment was to guarantee the existence of the state militias which could be called up by the President in order to put down insurrections and invasions. It says so right in the text.
The 2nd Amendment was never enacted to provide arms to attack a government elected pursuant to…
OK, that’s the basic communist argument — take money from people who work and give it to people who don’t want to work so that they don’t have to.
I’m comfortable saying the the communist idea of spread the wealth is not a successful or efficient social or economic system.
