Republican Presidential Debates
David Gross

This took a lot out of me today. Since 2007, toward the end of that year, something was taken from me and many others. I have been a Real Estate Appraiser for 1 to 4 family housing, strictly residential. I bought my 1st home that I am writing to you from in 2003. By 2005 the value had doubled. By the end of 2007, it was worth just what I paid for it. Problem was, I had refinanced to add in my 1 Child’s College and other things. Now, in 2015, the value of my home is worth only a little more than I paid for it, but because of the 2nd and 3rd Mortgages to pay for those things I wanted at the time, I now cannot refinance. I pay the “Juice” on the 2nd and 3rd and am paying off just the first. My guess is that not only has this happened to many others, but reading more and more, I see that many Big Banks like Bank Of America are now starting to liquidate loans that were abandoned and could not be sold on the Realtor Market and who knows where it stops.

I have said that the children that are growing up now, do have skills that I and my older folks group did not have computers until around 1985 and they grew up with them. Sometimes, they don’t look at you and older folks too as they light up their faces with “Smart Phones.” I was one of the 1st people to have an original Bag Phone where all of this wiring in my car that lead to an antenna was used and the Company name was Cellular One. It was about 1 dollar per minute. Now, I just have a $35 dollar a month Boost Mobile Phone that I have had for like 7 years and is used just to call out. I figure when I am out, I am working, so to get calls will not help. Just me these days. Only one. Hard times for many of us here in the USA and I know that it does not have anything to do with ability. It has to do with the value of our time. I work in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, so I knew before the study came out that NJ had the highest taxes in the USA. School systems are good, but when the kids grow up, you are paying almost ten thousand dollars a year in RE tax. This means, you never get out from under it. I hate to use the “Hope” word as it typically leads to “Dispair.” I don’t know what I will do when I grow up to be the 100 year old man, but my memory will not let me forget that there was a time when everyone working got a cost of living increase. Governor Christy saw to it that the Teachers in NJ don’t get that anymore and being that I know the school systems were why you would pay that high tax rate. How many new teachers will join at this rate? In my Industry, you originally needed a High School Diploma and 100 hours. I took the 1st exam for Appraisers in 1992 and was certified in 1993. Many days, I feel like I should be “Certified,” but the men in white coats don’t come around. That’s all for now as I am actually depressing myself. Let’s end on a happier note: Donny has no chance and if for any reason he does win… Europe is gone as the dollar is worthless even in Greece! Canada, Central America and South America. I do have a BA in Spanish…let’s not go there either.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
