I grew up in Nashville. My own father, also from Nashville, went to school with zero black people because schools were segregated.

The segregation I’ve seen in my life is by choice.

If you’re upset about the recent violence in Charlottesville and want to do something so that it doesn’t happen again, you need to look at yourself and the people around you. If they all look like you, live like you, and believe like you, you’re part of the same problem that causes situations like these.

Diversity is only a theory if we don’t live in a way that allows for it.
