It’s funny. Your feed is derived from tags you follow and the content you view, bookmark, and recommend. Thus, each user can potentially experience Medium in a completely different way than others.

Your commercialized, branded experience isn’t one I’ve dealt with, although too many articles I’m fed can at times appear to be a regurgitation of some other popular article.

Here’s some advice:

  • If commercialization and branding bother you so much then you should probably stay real fucking far away from the internet, those are kind of the things that fund it.
  • When writing goodbye notes, maybe be more of a pompous and insulting asshole because that’ll show ‘em!
