My initial reaction was to defend him, for the same reason I might defend Russel Wilson. They’re great athletes! We don’t like our athletes letting us down, despite the fact no one is perfect. But your take on it is much more significant. He is wealthy, white and privileged and is immediately innocent until proven guilty.
