Grief walls
Chelsea Rustrum

Chelsea, this reminds me of Brene Brown’s work on shame and vulnerability. When we experience shame or vulnerability, we trigger our grief walls to numb the pain, but we also numb the opportunity for empathy and connection. Remember our conversation at The Social Study? We are moving toward a Y in the road that leads to a tribal existence. That existence will either be warring tribes competing with each other or a global tribe connected to this Earth and committed to co-exist and endure. For all of our sake, let’s hope we can evolve to understand what the Standing Rock Sioux have known for centuries.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
