Exactly. The thing about Pascal’s Wager though is that if you are intellectually aware of WHY you are believing in God (i.e., you believe because — according the Pascal — you might just as well because what have you got to lose?) can you really be said to believe in God in any substantive way? Although I’m no expert in religion, it seems to me that most religions would find an opportunistic “faith” like this tantamount to no faith at all.
