I don’t really see the satire in this piece, but I’ll go with it for now. There are only two people in the UK who are currently on top of events and proceeding according to plan: Nicola Sturgeon and Gerry Adams. Both of whom are committed to staying in the EU, even if it means seceding from the UK.
But that’s backwards. If anything, it’s England that should be seceding, if only to save Scotland and NI the trouble of having to go out to get back in. That means it’s time for Britain to devolve some power to England, so that Boris, Nigel and the 52% can get on with creating the world’s most lucrative tax haven evah.
I understand why Jeremy is an obstacle to that progress, in that he sincerely wants to deal with persistent and damaging social and economic problems. He’s a very nice, mild-mannered man, which is just totally out of step with the hooligan state that England has become, as exemplified in the nasty attacks by England fans on Russians in Marseille.
That nice but dour Mr. Corbyn is an unfortunate obstacle in the race toward an ebullient England where stalking horses and sticking the knife in are the terms of rapport and cameraderie. I can see that some of the shadow cabinet want to help Mr. Corbyn by showing him how to be nasty and divisive. But like Ferdinand the Bull, he’s not having any of it. So I’m afraid the Labour party have counted themselves out for the duration.
Aside from Sturgeon & Adams, it’s clear that Farage is a master of events, and can still make progress toward his eventual goal of restoring the seven kingdoms, though he has yet to set out any plan or waypoints along the route.
Yet, because it’s obvious that he’s not a seasoned operator like the other two., we should just get on with supporting Nicola & Gerry in their efforts to stabilise the nation and hope they will return the favour when the time comes.
