It seems the majority of Labour MPs don’t have the patience to wait until the next election. And from the people I know who are signing up, they don’t care if the party gets a shellacking. What they want is real opposition, and and a real alternative. What this means is that the inexperienced progressive/hard left will have to get elected, and will then have to gain some experience. If the current Corbyn supporters have the teeth for it, they’ll hang in til the party implodes, and welcome a new fractured political landscape. Witness this morning’s news about a revived Social Democratic party.
