Not a Black Chair.
Amélie Lamont

This story contains something for anyone who’s ever been an employee. It’s a litany of shitty things that happen at work, through inept and psychotic bosses, corrupt HR people, office politics, and so on.

Bob Dylan could have been singing about it.

They’ll stone you when you’re at the breakfast table
They’ll stone you when you are young and able
 They’ll stone you when you’re tryn’a make a buck
They’ll stone you and then they’ll say, “Good luck”

Usually the best thing is to spot the symptoms early and get the hell away.

But if that’s not possible, going the whistleblower route is bodacious. Maybe Kelly will get to face her own demons as a consequence.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
