Echoing lots of the great sentiments here Marcin. I see the PM as owning the product vision, constantly prioritizing next steps and ensuring all lines of communication between management, engineering, design and marketing are always wide open, and is also ultimately is responsible for release dates. Though a seasoned UX designer’s responsibilities really overlap a great PM in many ways, again echoing your sentiment — he or she should fight for the needs of the users based on great research and data and produces designs that address specific workflow needs, where the PM could more focused on business outcomes rather than specific use cases… but ultimately how people use your software is directly connected to those business outcomes : ) — getting the perfect duet going is ‘the dream’.
