Jason Steele — I have been wondering lately why humans can acknowledge the existence of virtually every other facet of humanity exists on spectrums (skin colour, hair colour, eye colour, height, breast size, IQ range, fat content, left to right handedness, etcetera) but can’t acknowledge that gender identity, sexual preference, and sexual expression can also exist on spectrums?

For example, I present as male, am attracted to women (particularly redheads, to reference your post) and possess male genitalia. I am also totally ambidextrous, while a majority of people are right handed and a significant minority are left handed, and many people of either handedness have varying dexterity of their opposing hands. A wide spectrum, in other words.
