When the response to criticism of Trump is deflecting to what President Obama or Senator Clinton did or didn’t do during their time in power signals an incapability of the defender’s ability to argue or their argument itself.
Why not demonstrate that the article’s facts are incorrect, with citations? That would be far more effective than complaining about Obama. So prove to us, your readers, what promises has Trump managed to keep? If not Healthcare, what about China? Or immigration reform? The Wall?
It’s six months into his mandate. Trump is now being judged on his presidency, not on his candidacy and his accomplishment of his platform promises. It’s past the time to excuse a candidate’s campaign promises; it’s now time to cast critical assessments at the President’s actions in fulfilling those campaign promises.
