Evolution
Hey religions hate this topic because it goes against what the holy texts say. You have probably heard our world was made 6000 years ago. This is called young earth theory. One origin of this theory is from an Irish preacher who calculated the time period from the eden to now from the holy bible. In my country , Northern Ireland, there was changes made to the local museum to remove evolution from the displays and insert the church view of the origin of man. You know science, facts are useful to understand our selves. Science is the nearest thing we have to truth. The thing is evolution is good because it brings us closer to nature. If we accept evolution we realise we have to take care of our world. Sadly we are struggling to do this. Look around you, birds, flies insects, all existed on our planet before us humans. Human beings are a young species compared to other creatures. The insect, fly or spider may look scarey but they are not as bad as we imagine. Species evolve due to the environment. Dinosaurs who were thought to be giants a long time ago, died off due to a asteroid strike. What do we do with their evolved relatives , chickens, we eat them. Our hair is made of a chemical called Keratin (,a fibrous protein) and what chemical is a dogs hair made of? Yes its the same chemical. Our Dna shows us humans are related to mice and chimps. Sure that’s why the chemical companies test stuff on mice. Horses hoofs and goat horns lol are also made of Keratin. So if we see evolution in this way, we realise we are not foreign or alien to animals and our world. The truth is we are part of the planet earth family (Gaia) and we should take care of our world and the animals.
