Responsiveness — the quality of reacting quickly and positively
A confusion which can often arise around ‘responsiveness’ is that it’s related to ‘being responsible’. This can be partially true, but as you can see from the definition, this isn’t entirely accurate. When we discuss how responsive someone is, we are talking about their ability to respond promptly in an appropriate and timely manner, in any given situation.
It’s very much connected to the ability to prioritise, and consider what is urgent and important based on the urgency/importance matrix…
